Belltown is one of the most hip neighborhoods in Seattle with its trendy restaurants, art galleries, boutique stores, nightclubs, and high-rise residential towers. It is home to the Art Institute of Seattle, Antioch University, Argosy University, the Seattle School of Theology & Psychology and RealNetworks. It lies directly west of the Denny Triangle neighborhood, where Amazon houses its downtown headquarters, and where the Cornish College of the Arts is located. Generally now comprised of condominium and apartment residences, there are only a handful of single-family dwellings that remain near the Belltown P-Patch.
Downtown provides one of the country’s best big-city urban experiences for visitors and residents alike, generating an important economic impact for the thousands working in arts, entertainment, hospitality and tourism. High-rise condominium and apartment development over the past couple of decades has brought substantial residential growth to the downtown core. Downtown Seattle is a mecca of food, shopping, lodging and activities, and its natural setting is a gorgeous backdrop for a vibrant array of events and festivals, professional sports, lively nightlife, and tourist attractions, supported by a vibrant cultural and performing arts community.
